YEE-HAW!
Join us as we gallop through the wonder-filled West, where our friends at Wonder Junction will teach us about the grandest wonder of all — Jesus Christ. Each day, we’ll dig deeper into who this awe-inspiring Jesus is, answering questions such as:
- What amazing things happened surrounding Jesus’ birth?
- What was Jesus like as a child and teen?
- What wonders occurred during Jesus’ ministry years?
- How were Jesus’ death and resurrection like no other?
- What should we be doing as we wait for Jesus’ return?
A Week at Wonder Junction ~

All Aboard Assembly
Wonder and amazement await us each day at Wonder Junction, where kids will gather at the All Aboard Assembly, a high-energy beginning that includes wacky intros, lively songs, a mission moment, and prayer.
Then they are off to rotate through various sites.
Finally, everyone is rounded up to head back to the All Aboard Assembly for the closing, where there’s more singing, contest results, and the highly anticipated daily drama that highlights the shenanigans of two bumbling bandits who are transformed after learning about the wonderful life of Jesus Christ. So dust off your boots, grab your bandana, and get ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good ol’ time at Wonder Junction.

High Point Bible Time
Bible Lesson Overview
With daily Bible content the children will experience God’s word in a big way because the daily Bible Point is carefully integrated into each activity. God’s Word comes alive through engaging interaction with Bible History!
-
Day 1
- Bible Point: The Wonder of His Birth
- Animal Pal: Tiny the Cougar Kitten
- Apologetics Focus: Is Jesus the most important person ever born?
- Name of Jesus: Creator, Immanuel
We learn that the wonder of wonders is Jesus, our Creator God. He came to earth as a baby. And wow — what a special birth? Prophets told about Jesus hundreds of years earlier. An angel told Mary about God’s plan. Then on the night he was born, angels worshipped as shepherds listened in awe. And a special star led wise men to the new King. Best of all, Jesus wanted to come to be our Savior. He came as our Immanuel, God with us. Now, that’s a wonder!
-
Day 2
- Bible Point: The Wonder of His Childhood
- Animal Pal: Junior the Wolf Pup
- Apologetics Focus: Is Jesus God or man — or both?
- Name of Jesus: Carpenter
Kids’ lives are alike in many ways. In Wonder Junction, kids do a heap of chores, get learnin’ at the schoolhouse, and play down by the crick. But Jesus’ childhood was unique. Although he was a kid, Jesus is also God! He was happy and sad, but he was never selfish. He got hungry and tired, but he was never worried or afraid or “hangry.” Jesus always obeyed his parents and never sinned. He grew strong and full of wisdom. By the age of 12, he knew his mission from God his Father. What a wonder!
-
Day 3
- Bible Point: The Wonder of His Ministry Years
- Animal Pal: Mighty the Bison
- Apologetics Focus: Had anyone else had the power to raise himself from the dead?
- Name of Jesus: Almighty
We meet Mr. Percy Jones, owner of the Wonder Junction general store. Good ol’ Percy, he’d bend over backward to get ya what ya need. That’s mighty helpful, but it’s nothin’ compared to how Jesus cares for people. Whatever a person needs, he will supply it. Jesus showed he’s God through his wonder-working power. He healed sickness with a single touch. He stopped a storm with one command. He even brought the dead back to life! But the wonder of wonders is that he forgives sins. We’ve all sinned by disobeying God. Only Jesus provides the way to the forgiveness we all need. Yes siree, Jesus is a wonder!
-
Day 4
- Bible Point: Savior for The Wonder of His Death and Resurrection
- Animal Pal: Champ the Grizzly Bear
- Apologetics Focus: Was Jesus completely dead?
- Name of Jesus: Savior
We learn that we all have something in common — even with bad guys like Billy the Kid in the Old West. We all choose to sin (disobey God’s commands). Sin separates us from our holy God. After Adam and Even disobeyed, every person has sinned and needs a way to have fellowship with God. Jesus paid the penalty for sin when he died on a cross and showed that God accepted his payment when he rose from the dead. What a wonder! You can have fellowship with God and eternal life with him when you admit you are a sinner (repent) and believe Jesus died and rose to life. God will welcome you into his family!
-
Day 5
- Bible Point: The Wonder of His Return
- Animal Pal: Mission the Horse
- Apologetics Focus: How will Jesus return?
- Name of Jesus: King of Kings
This isn’t the end, y’all! Jesus went up to heaven after he rose from the dead and promised that he would return one day. As we wait for his return, God has a mission for his children to tell others about Jesus. He gives us time, talents, and money to use. We should work hard, like the faithful servants in Jesus’ story (Matthew 25:14-29). Now, working for God doesn’t git ya into heaven, but we should want to work hard because he loves us. Jesus is comin’ back someday — it’s for sure gonna happen! And all who believe in him will live forever in the new heavens and earth. That’ll be a wonder to beat them all!
